Singing for A Greener Tomorrow – Theme Music Contest Goes Live
Theme music track can be downloaded and reused for submission to be selected for Title track in different languages
Santa Clara, California USA – Nov 9, 2011 – Branding under the banner “Singing for A Greener Tomorrow”- a group of motivated social leaders launched the Theme Music Contest in any language on the website www.singingrecord.com
Previously on Nov 4, 2011 at the World Music Curtain Raiser Event, the organizers launched "Singing for Greener Tomorrow - Title Music". The music album comprises of two tracks, one that has the Theme Music with voice and the other a base track. The music is composed by Sandeep Khurana and voice provided by Diva and launched by Potmax Music.
The contest is open to all and anybody can vote on those uploaded songs and whoever gets the most number of votes per language category will be invited to sing/play live at "Singing for Greener Tomorrow - Events"

SINGING FOR A GRENER TOMORROW- A GREAT SUCCESS Singing for Greener Tomorrow - World Music Curtain Raiser Concert a Success Concert Unifies Several Communities with Music - All for the EnvironmentPress/Media Contact: Sam Rao Ph 510 789 6182 Santa Clara, California USA – Nov 5, 2011: An unique concert ‘Singing for a Greener Tomorrow’ was held Friday November 4th at the Santa Clara Convention Center- successfully drawing members of several different ethnic communities all supporting the cause of Environment and the future at www.singingrecord.com The Kick off event was derived from a desire to bring people of all communities together for the cause of the environment and our future and using Music as a common platform. Organizers Neil Banerjee, Sam Rao, Xander Uyleman, Vic Sharma and Atreedev Banerjee explained that this Curtain Raiser event leads to a larger event in Silicon Valley in April 2012- around Earth Day 2012” “ We were pleasantly surprised by the enormous response of the community from all quarters.” With City officials and Community leaders from several cities sending in their support, proclamation and messages.” Many like Mayor Jaime L. Matthews of Santa Clara, Mayor Jose Esteves of Milpitas, Kevin Moore and Lisa Gillmor , Santa Clara City Council members showed up to endorse the event with other City council members and Santa Clara Unified School Board members like Andrew Ratermann and Jim Canova. Mayor of Fremont Bob Wassermann send a Proclamation on behalf of the City of Fremont to the organizers- the event had bands of six different music genres and attendees smiling for a job well done and executed. The event was conceptualized and launched by five individuals and spouses and drew a lot of volunteers and organizations as endorsees. The event at the Santa Clara Convention Center was partially sponsored by The Rotary Club International- Santa Clara and endorsed by the Sierra Club - Loma Prieta Chapter serving the neighboring counties. Part of the proceeds was earmarked for partner non profits like Save the Frogs, Spandana and INDUZ and Its Diff. The musical fare ranged from Pura Mezcolanza , a Berkeley-based quintet that serves up a delicious mix of Afro-Cuban son, Brazilian bossa nova, Mexican ranchera, and Latin jazz, The Jesse Charles Band, Classic rock, Pacific Soul Band- Filipino/Latino band and the K Group, Korean American band and the World Music Band a fusion blend of East and West inspired by Indian music roots- each with an unique message about the importance of environment and the future. Some of the highlights included the presence of Miss Russian California 2012, Ms Maya Galakhova and Emcee Charleston Pierce, model and fashion choreographer, who played with the audience and bands and dignitaries alike and kept the momentum upbeat throughout the event. The event, which was streamed live on the web and volunteer Mahesh Mishra of Fremont, said “Wow! People started accessing it from all over the world!” The event was also available on Facebook and Ustream and many attendees actually called their friends and families elsewhere to enjoy the performances. Filipino Americans Lucas Reyes and Gayle, Korean American Ms Urunia and Ms Sun Moon Lee posed with Rebekah Uyleman and Dr Kerry Krieger of Save The Frogs against a backdrop showcasing the event along along with Mayor Jaime Matthews and Mayor Esteves, Commissioners Narendra Pathak and organizers joined in the photo-shoot. Organizer Neil Banerjee said,” There is so much content and so much good music going on that we look forward to more interaction and more support from the communities around us. Musical direction is lead by Latin recording artist and producer Alberto Perez, former member of the romantic singing group “Trio Intimo.” Combined with the vocal direction and experience of lead singer, Joe Duron, Pacific Soul offers a unique blend of musicality. Korean Music band K-Group, is a group of Korean hi-tech professionals in Silicon Valley, mostly IT-engineers. They will bring to us contemporary Korean music. World Music Band , is a group of talented musicians bringing crossover fusion music from both East and West , with their wonderful band members, Ben Kunin(Sarode), Mark Koperweis (Cajon/Khol),Neil Barton(Bass Guitar),Sanjib Saha(Acoustic-Electric-Guitar), Biswapesh Chatterjee(Keyboard/Synthesizer),Anoop Bhattacharya(Tabla),Bob Olson(Saxophone), Malini Banerjee(Vocal),Manidipa Bhattacharya(Vocal) and their manager Prasenjit Sengupta. Rebekah Uyleman -Rebekah has an amazing voice for her age, she has been performing since she was a little child. Come listen to her perform and provide your support. She is going to be on the big stage performing with other talented musicians and bands.
