Appeal to support Flood-hit victims in Assam & Bihar

The flood scene in Bihar and Assam continues to be grim with the death toll in the two states rising to over 250 and leaving some 25 million homeless. 25 out of 27 districts in Assam and 18 out of 34 districts in Bihar are under water. Property worth several hundred millions is destroyed.

The need of the hour is relief to the suffering millions in any form possible. While the government is making its own efforts in rescuing people, supplying food and medication, clothing and shelter in the flood hit areas, the magnitude of devastation is such that any form of help will mean a great deal.

IDRF is soliciting your tax-deductible contribution for the support of these victims. Your support will help reduce the sufferings of poor people of remote areas. IDRF will channel your generous contributions to the voluntary, non-governmental organization Seva Bharati working on relief and rehabilitation operations in Bihar and Assam.
