Silicon Valley Indian Professionals Association Holds yet another Succesful Conference
Santa Clara, Calif.: A Congference held by SIPA in exsistence for nearly 15 years delivered a short and simple conference, full of value for the attendees. The conference organized by the Silicon Valley Proefessionals Association (SIPA) wa very succesful in that it was unpretentious and had ample time for networking and hob nobbing with like minded folks- all Techies! This affordable conference is one which is definitely giving back A bang for the buck and is affordable without making a hole in the pocket ($59). Feedback by participants did suggest some improvements inculding Logistics etc and possibley inclusion on more variety of speakers but attendees were pleased.
the accessible nature of the mostly 6-10 year old Techies in the Valley gave an outlook and perspective of truly helping each other unlike more "storied" conferences also in the Silicon Valley- which have become more of a Self promotional stage and One upmanship for every slate of officers. Although this year heavy hitters like Aziz Premji- who had near "rock Star" status last year didnot pan out, Serial entrepruener and philanthropist Steve Kirscner and SanDIsk's Sanjay Mehrotra did have intereting tales to tell and ideas to communicate.
