About 400 people enjoyed a delightful fare of fusion music- ranging from Indian classical/folk and blues/African/Hawaiian music. The “Trinity of Guitars” also refers to the three different types of guitars played by Debashish Bhattacharya and Bob Brozman. The duo were assisted by Subhashish Bhattacharya on percussion, and Daniel Thomas on vocals. “We wanted to present an unique concert to the Bay Area patrons and decided to go with Indian classical and Jazz fusion as part of our annual fundraiser,” said Pushpa Subbarao of ILP. ILP has till present supported over 100,000 under-privileged children and women in over 12 states in India by mobilizing funds for their education. The event raised $26,000 mainly by contributions of Prabhu and Poonam Goel and B.V. and Anu Jagdeesh, contributing $10,000 each. For more information on India Literacy Project www.ilpnet.org Sam rao
